Craig Penman 7th Dan
SKGB Instructor
Craig Penman embarked on his martial arts journey in 1980 spending all of his youth immersed in sport karate and competing for many year both nationally and internationally. He achieved great success winning many titles including Scottish and British Champion and also had the great honor of being selected as Scotland team captain.
When he retired from competition another journey began to explore the traditional roots of Karate and in particular Kata Bunkai. After much searching Craig sought out one of the world leaders in this field Iain Abernethy and eventually became a fully qualified instructor in Iain's teaching methods after many years of study. The journey to this day has not ended he has continuously reinvested in himself in different areas and systems of the martial arts to further develop the skills of himself and every club member.
